Melissa Benson (Little Flower), Jenn Richards (Conwell-Egan), Marie Bisirri (Nazareth Academy) and MaryKate Morris (St. Hubert) scored for the Tigers (3-9-0, 3-5).

Rowan improved to 8-2 overall with 2-0 victory over Montclair State. Morgan Muracco (Washington Township) and Nina Fragoso (Delsea) scored. Maria Dorris (Clearview) made five saves for her seventh shutout.

Becca Sykes (Middle Township) did not need to make a save as Lebanon Valley shut down Alvernia, 2-0.

Nicole Foschini and Jenna Pedrick (Paul VI) scored 52 seconds apart to help Widener (5-5-1, 2-1) shut out Lycoming, 3-0, in a Commonwealth Conference match. Victoria Batter (Ridley) closed out the scoring and Vanessa Hejnas (Delran) needed to make just one save for the Pride.

Men's soccer. John Fogarty (Ocean City) earned his second consecutive shutout and Villanova beat host DePaul, 1-0, in a Big East match.

Mushe Wamulume (Penncrest) got a goal as Chestnut Hill downed Felician, 2-0.

Ken Tribbett and Nathan Page scored and Tim Washam notched his fourth shutout to improve Drexel to 7-3-1 overall, 3-1-0 in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 2-0 victory over North Carolina-Wilmington.

Field hockey. Sophomore Colleen Kempf (Central Bucks South) scored an unassisted goal with 14:43 to play to lift La Salle over host Lock Haven, 1-0, in the Atlantic Ten opener.

Jenna O'Sullivan (Timber Creek) and Kelsey O'Neill (Cherokee) scored to lift Rowan over Ramapo, 2-1, in an NJAC contest. Marisa Schoepflin (Washington Township) had an assist.

A hat trick by Cate Cusack (Gateway) helped propel Lebanon Valley to a 6-1 victory over Albright in Annville, Pa. Caitlin Vasey (Central Bucks East) had a pair of assists and Chloe Baro (Pottsgrove) made three saves.

Men's tennis. Third doubles Danton Moyer (Pope John Paul II) and Abui Santos notched the Cavaliers' only win as Cabrini fell to Penn State-Berks, 8-1.

Women's volleyball. Haverford (13-5, 4-1) outlasted visiting Franklin and Marshall, 3-2, in Centennial Conference action to move into a three-way tie for first place by handing the Diplomats (10-12, 4-1) their first conference loss of the season.

Penn swept its Ivy League opposition, scoring a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-22) win over visiting Columbia. Kristen Etterbeek had a match-high 15 kills while freshman Ronnie Bither handed out 38 assists.

Philadelphia University (10-6, 6-3) fell, 3-1, to host Caldwell (13-9, 6-2) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match in the Newman Center.

Cara Przybylowicz (Ridley) tallied double digits in kills as Holy Family (7-14, 5-5) rallied to defeat host Bloomfield, 3-2, in a CACC contest.

Ursinus split a pair of matches at Johns Hopkins, losing to the Blue Jays, 25-13, 25-19, 25-14, and beating Hood, 25-19, 25-20 25-22.

Widener got great play in the fifth set for a 3-2 victory (26-24, 25-15, 18-25, 22-25, 15-6) over DeSales before a 3-0 setback to Eastern at the Middle Atlantic Conference Crossover.

Angela DiMaria (Archbishop Wood) had 21 kills.

Men's golf. Gettysburg shot a 316 for a tie for third place after one round of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic in Abbottstown, Pa. Bob Hoeppner (Germantown Academy) is tied for fifth among 53 golfers with a 5-over-par 77.
