Notre Dame tops Boston College

 Everett Golson ran for a touchdown and threw for two more Saturday night to help fourth-ranked Notre Dame beat Boston College, 21-6, in Chestnut Hill, Mass., and the Fighting Irish kept their national championship hopes intact.

Golson completed 16 of 24 passes for 200 yards.

Chase Rettig went 27 of 34 for 247 yards for the Eagles (2-8).

Stanford 27, Oregon State 23 - Kevin Hogan threw for 254 yards and three TDs in his first collegiate start, and the No. 16 Cardinal (8-2, 6-1 Pac-12) rallied past the No. 13 Beavers (7-2, 5-2) in Palo Alto, Calif.

Hogan, who took over the starting role from inconsistent Josh Nunes, completed 22 of 29 passes with two interceptions. He also ran for 49 yards on 11 carries.

Florida 27, Louisiana-Lafayette 20 - Jelani Jenkins returned a blocked punt 36 yards for a TD with 2 seconds left and the No. 6 Gators (9-1) beat the Ragin' Cajuns (5-4) in Gainesville, Fla.

Kansas State 23, Texas Christian 10 - Collin Klein ran for two TDs for the third-ranked Wildcats (10-0, 7-0 Big 12) in a win over the Horned Frogs (6-4, 3-4) in Fort Worth, Texas.

Georgia 38, Auburn 0 - Aaron Murray passed for 208 yards and three TDs and the No. 5 Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) blanked the Tigers (2-8, 0-7) in Auburn, Ala.

Louisiana State 37, Mississippi State 17 - Zach Mettenberger passed for 273 yards and two touchdowns, and the No. 9 Tigers (8-2, 4-2 SEC) topped the Bulldogs (7-3, 3-3) in Baton Rouge, La.

Clemson 45, Maryland 10 - Tajh Boyd threw for 261 yards and three TDs as the No. 10 Tigers (9-1, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) trounced the Terrapins (4-6, 2-4) in Clemson, S.C.

South Carolina 38, Arkansas 20 - Connor Shaw threw for two TDs and ran for another as the No. 12 Gamecocks (8-2, 6-2 SEC) beat the Razorbacks (4-6, 2-4) in Columbia, S.C.

Oklahoma 42, Baylor 34 - Landry Jones threw for 277 yards and two TDs, Damien Williams ran for 99 yards and two scores, and the No. 14 Sooners (7-2, 5-1 Big 12) pasted the Bears (4-5, 1-5) in Norman, Okla.

Texas 33, Iowa State 7 - David Ash passed for 364 yards and two TDs and the No. 19 Longhorns (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) whipped the Cyclones (5-5, 2-5) in Austin, Texas.

Louisiana Tech 62, Texas Tech 55 - Kenneth Dixon ran for 144 yards and four TDs (breaking Marshall Faulk's NCAA record for TDS by a freshman), Colby Cameron threw for 337 yards and three more scores, and the No. 20 Bulldogs (9-1, 4-0 WAC) won a shootout with the Bobcats (3-6, 1-3) in San Marcos, Texas.

Southern Cal 38, Arizona State 17 - Marqise Lee caught 10 passes for 161 yards and a TD, Curtis McNeal rushed for 163 yards and two more scores, Matt Barkley threw for 222 yards and three TDs, and the No. 21 Trojans (7-3, 5-3 Pac-12) slammed the Sun Devils (5-5, 3-4) in Los Angeles.

Texas Tech 41, Kansas 34 - Running back Eric Stephens threw a 3-yard jump pass to Darrin Moore for a TD in double OT to lift the No. 25 Red Raiders (7-3, 4-3 Big 12) over the Jayhawks (1-9, 0-7) in Lubbock, Texas.

Columbia 34, Cornell 17 - Sean Brackett threw three TD passes, Marcorus Garrett had 187 yards rushing including an 86-yard TD jaunt, and the Lions (3-6, 2-4) stunned the Big Red (4-5, 2-4) in New York City.

Princeton 29, Yale 7 - Trocon Davis returned an interception 100 yards for a TD and the Tigers (5-4, 3-2) thumped the Bulldogs (2-7, 1-5) in New Haven, Conn.

Brown 28, Dartmouth 24 - Patrick Donnelly rallied the Bears (6-3, 3-3) to two fourth-quarter TDs to beat the Big Green (5-4, 3-3) in Hanover, N.H.
