Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel ran for two touchdowns, threw for two more and had a Cotton Bowl-record 516 total yards as 10th-ranked Texas A&M wrapped up its first SEC season with a 41-13 win over No. 12 Oklahoma on Friday night in Arlington, Texas.

The Aggies (11-2) never trailed after Manziel tiptoed the sideline for a 23-yard TD run on their opening drive of the game.

Oklahoma (10-3), which like the Aggies entered the game with a five-game winning streak, went three-and-out on its first three drives after halftime.

Manziel set an FBS bowl record with his 229 yards rushing on 17 carries, and completed 22 of 34 passes for 287 yards.

One-point safety

Fifth-ranked Oregon was awarded a one-point safety on an obscure rule against No. 7 Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday night.

It was the first such one-point safety in major college football since Texas got one against Texas A&M in 2004, STATS said.

Floyd to the NFL

Florida Today reported that Florida defense back Matt Elam and defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd, a George Washington product, announced that they are leaving after their junior years for the NFL.

"It's a blessing that I'm going to get a chance to do what a lot of players want to do," Floyd added. "My dream is going to come true."

More early withdrawals

LSU safety Eric Reid, cornerback Tharold Simon, running back Spencer Ware and punter Brad Wing formally declared their intention to leave school and enter the NFL draft.

Wisconsin center Travis Frederick said he's skipping his senior year to enter the NFL draft.

McManus honored

Temple kicker Brandon McManus (North Penn) was named the recipient of the College Football Performance Awards Specialist Trophy, it was announced Friday.
