HORSE RACING: The $1 million Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park has been scheduled for July 28. The thoroughbred racetrack announced its stakes schedule, saying it would be worth $6 million and include 16 graded events worth $3.45 million. Among the changes to the calendar are the return of the Salvator Mile on July 6 and a shift of the Monmouth Cup, which will be contested on Haskell Day.

MLB: Former Dodgers and Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley has been charged with abusing his estranged wife and faces up to 13 years in jail if convicted, Los Angeles prosecutors announced.
Bradley, 34, was charged on Thursday with 13 misdemeanor counts of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and dissuading a witness from making a report.
NASCAR: Kyle Busch signed a multiyear deal with Joe Gibbs Racing last month, multiple media outlets reported. Busch's decision to re-sign leaves Kurt Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Ryan Newman as the biggest free agents on the market. Busch had only one win last year but finished 13th in the point standings.
