College Basketball: Muffet McGraw draws plaudits as Villanova women fall

Skylar Diggins had 14 points for the Irish, but was 4 for 17 from the field.

Notre Dame (21-1, 9-0 Big East) never trailed. The Wildcats (16-6, 5-4) were led by Emily Leer with 15 points.

Elsewhere: Drexel's Hollie Mershon led all scorers with 19 points in the Dragons' 62-48 victory at Towson (7-14, 1-9 Colonial). Drexel (15-6, 8-2) shot 45.7 percent from the floor and had 23 bench points. Towson's reserves were held scoreless.

Men

Arkansas 80, Florida 69 - BJ Young led three players in double figures with 13 points as the Razorbacks (14-8, 5-4 Southeastern Conference) opened quickly and never let up in a shocking victory over the No. 2 Gators (18-3, 8-1).

Honors. Former La Salle guard Jennifer Cole Davis, St. Joseph's guard Susan Moran, and Temple forward/center Marilyn Stephens are among the 16 inaugural Atlantic Ten "Women's Basketball Legends" who will be honored March 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn before the A-10 conference finals. Each school in the league selected its own legend. The group is made up of former players who began their careers in 1976 or later.
