9-goal rally sends La Salle women past Temple

The Owls (8-6, 3-2 A-10) led, 13-5, with a little less than 18 minutes remaining but did not score again.
Melanie Sarcinello (Marple Newtown) paced host La Salle (9-5, 1-4) with four goals. Lauren Ignacio netted three, including the game-winner off a free position with 12 seconds remaining. Caitlyn Brostrand (Camden Catholic) also had a hat trick. Maura Malone made 14 saves. The Explorers scored five goals in the final 3 minutes, 11 seconds.
Charlotte Swavola (Cheltenham) led Temple with four goals. Stephany Parcell (Interboro) added three.
Alyse Maiden (Washington Township) scored four goals and added an assist for Drexel (10-4, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association) in a 16-9 home loss to James Madison (9-5, 4-1). The defeat was the Dragons' first in the CAA.
Baseball. Princeton swept a doubleheader at Penn (20-14, 6-6 Ivy League), winning the first game, 7-1, before Alec Keller's two-out, solo home run in the 10th inning helped the Tigers (11-21, 8-4) take game two, 7-6.
Softball. Penn (20-15, 10-2 Ivy) swept a twinbill with visiting Princeton (21-15, 6-6), winning the first game, 9-2, and the second, 5-4. Alexis Borden got both wins.
Neumann took two games at Rosemont in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, winning by 10-0 in five innings and by 11-3.
