Tarkanian gets tribute from Las Vegas Strip
Casinos to dim lights to honor the late Jerry Tarkanian, who led UNLV to a national title.

IF YOU'RE WALKING along the Las Vegas strip tomorrow night and the lights dim, don't panic.
It's just a thoughtful tribute honoring the late Jerry Tarkanian, the former head coach of UNLV who died last Wednesday at age 84.
According to the Associated Press, the tribute will take place at 10:30 following the Boise State at UNLV game.
The gesture puts Tarkanian in good company.
Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Elvis Presley and Ronald Reagan are among those who have had lights dimmed on the Strip after their deaths.
The towel-munching Tarkanian coached UNLV from 1973-1992 and led the Runnin' Rebels to a national title during the 1989-90 season.
The Shark, who also coached at Long Beach State and Fresno State, finished with a 30-year career record of 761-202.
No soup for you!
Jerry Seinfeld isn't happy with the New York Mets' new announcing team.
For the past six seasons, former Mets hurler Bobby Ojeda has been the pre- and postgame studio analyst for SNY TV.
Yesterday, it was announced that Ojeda was let go because he and the station couldn't agree on a new contract.
Ojeda's replacement? Pitcher Nelson Figueroa, who only pitched one season for the Mets.
The news caused Seinfield to send out a tweet blasting the decision:
"Nelson Figueroa is taking over for Bobby Ojeda as analyst on pregame and postgame show." Seinfeld wrote.
"Booooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!"
Happy B-day, Buddy
