Standout football recruit enjoys Temple official visit

Tevaun Smith, a wideout at Kent School (Conn.), said he enjoyed this past weekend's official visit to Temple.

The 6-foot-2, 186-pound prep school standout attended practice, hung out with players and spent time with the coaching staff. He is being recruited for the Class of 2012.

"I mostly spent time with the wide receivers coach [Zach Smith]," Smith told Rivals.com.  The coaches "were just interested and explained how they'd use me on the offensive side of the ball and special teams with my athletic ability. They felt I can do well in their offense."

He compiled over 1,000 all-purpose yards to go with 15 touchdowns this season. The Toronto native took an official visit to Connecticut on Nov. 25 and will visit Iowa this weekend.
