Women's College Basketball: Drexel reaches CAA semifinals

The Drexel women's basketball team used a 15-0 run in the first half to build a 21-5 lead en route to a 65-51 victory over sixth-seeded William and Mary (8-22) in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament in Upper Marlboro, Md. The third-seeded Dragons (21-9) never trailed as they earned a matchup with No. 2 James Madison on Saturday afternoon. James Madison beat Towson, 54-48.

Delaware 51, UNC Wilmington 43 - Elena Delle Donne had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and the No. 15 Blue Hens beat the Seahawks (5-26) to extend their school-record winning streak to 23 games.

Top-seeded Delaware (28-3) plays Hofstra, which beat Northeastern, 57-52.

Division II

Holy Family 68, Assumption 62 - The Tigers clawed back in the second half to advance to Saturday's second-round game with top-seeded Bentley in the East Region tournament in Waltham, Mass.

Holy Family went ahead, 64-62, with 41.7 seconds to play as Erin Mann (Villa Maria) made a key play. Mary Ellen McCollum (St. Basil) and Molly Hanlon (Lower Merion) each made two free throws to seal the win.
