Aaric Murray, the 6-foot-10 center who transferred in 2011 from La Salle to West Virginia, is on the move again. The Mountaineers said Monday that Murray has left the basketball team after one season.

Coach Bob Huggins did not give a reason for Murray's departure, saying it was by mutual agreement. CBSsportsline.com reported that Murray was kicked off the team.

Murray was charged with marijuana possession while he sat out the 2011-12 season.

CBSsportsline.com reported that Murray has graduated from WVU but still has a year of eligibility remaining. Under this circumstance, he would be eligible to transfer to another school and play immediately.

A former Glen Mills star, Murray averaged 8.8 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Mountaineers (13-19) last season. As a La Salle sophomore, he averaged 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds.

La Salle reached the Sweet 16 last season.
