La Salle basketball coach John Giannini has announced the signing of four high school players to national letters of intent for the freshman class of 2018. One of the prospects is 6-foot-8 forward Ed Croswell, of Philadelphia, who plays for former Explorers coach Speedy Morris at St. Joseph's Prep.

Croswell was a second-team all-Catholic League selection last season after averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds.

"Ed is a strong, tough rebounder and inside player with a college-ready body," Giannini said. "He has surprising skills, as he had a late growth spurt and was a guard at one time. His ability to put the ball on the floor allows him to beat opponents with quickness as well as strength."

La Salle also signed 6-7 guard Jack Clark of Cheltenham, 6-7 forward Jared Kimbrough of Neptune, N.J., and 6-10 center Osun Osunniyi of Pleasantville, N.J.

Clark averaged more than 18 points last season and led Cheltenham to the PIAA tournament. Giannini called him "a very skilled guard with tremendous length."

Kimbrough averaged 14.7 points and 11.8 rebounds for Neptune High. Ossuniyi led Mainland Regional to a Cape-Atlantic League division title with averages of 14.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and 5.6 blocks. He will play this season for Putnam (Conn.) Science Academy.
