Add another first-team all-American credit to the resumé of Penn State's Devon Still. That makes 10 for the senior defensive tackle.

On Thursday, the Sporting News announced that Still was on its first-team defense.

Still has received similar honors from the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America, ESPN.com, CBSSports.com, SI.com, FoxSportsNext.com/Scout.com, Pro Football Weekly, and Yahoo Sports.

Still finished the regular season second in the Big Ten in solo tackles for loss with 15 and tied for third in overall tackles for loss with 17. He had 55 tackles, 41/2 sacks, and one forced fumble.

Coaching search update. Penn State interim athletic director Dave Joyner said that the university's search for its next head football coach is "about exactly where I wanted to be at this point in time."

"We may be conducting our search a little different than other people," Joyner said in an interview with the athletic department's website, published Thursday. "I'm not saying they're not, but we're being very methodical and precise about what we're doing and who we're talking to."

Joyner has previously said that integrity, an emphasis on academics, and success on the football field are three qualities the six-person search committee seeks in Penn State's next coach. He said a lot of people fit that description and Penn State does not "have a lack of people to look at."
