Penn State's Matt McGloin, Michael Zordich invited to all-star games

Penn State's offensive cocaptains, quarterback Matt McGloin and running back Michael Zordich, have accepted invitations to play in all-star games.

Penn State's offensive cocaptains, quarterback Matt McGloin and running back Michael Zordich, have accepted invitations to play in all-star games.

McGloin will play in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge in Allen, Texas, on Feb. 2. Zordich will play in the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl in Carson, Calif., on Jan. 19.

In a stellar senior season, McGloin completed 270 of 446 passes for 3,266 yards and 24 touchdowns. He won the Burlsworth Trophy, presented to the nation's top player who began his career as a walk-on.

Zordich started five games during his senior season and also was one of the squad's premier special-teams players, recording four tackles. He was second on the team with 308 yards on 80 carries and had four rushing touchdowns.

Penn State defensive tackle Jordan Hill will play in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala.
