Dressing down Nits for ridiculous T-shirt
Penn State issues commemorative T-shirt after win over Syracuse.

IT'S COME to this: Penn State has issued a T-shirt commemorating its 23-17 season-opening win over Syracuse.
We all know the Nits are doing whatever they can to boost a program that was hit hard by the Jerry Sandusky scandal. But selling a T-shirt (for $17.95, by the way) for beating a team that went 8-5 last season is a bit much. Even if it did take place at an NFL stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The Nits have won 23 of the last 26 meetings with the Orange. And, at one point, won 16 in a row (from 1971 to 1986).
But marketing is everything, which explains this blurb about the shirt on the school's online store website:
"Dominating the gridiron is what the Nittany Lions do best, and their win over the Orange on August 31st was no different! Relive their victory over Syracuse with this Score tee."
Dominating? That's not the word we'd use for a six-point win over Syracuse.
Fish story
Minnesota defensive lineman Ra'Shede Hageman must have watched too much TV during "Shark Week."
He was recently asked about what he likes to eat and came up with a rather bizarre reply.
"I'm definitely not a fish person, I don't like eating fish, just for the fact, like, I used to catch fish and they probably eat disgusting things in the water. I would eat a shark, though, because a shark kills a lot of people. So, I mean, if I eat a shark, I feel like I'd be avenging a lot of people's deaths or whatever. Sharks are so mean."
