Two Penn State players, running back Andre Robinson and kicker Alex Barbir, have been granted releases from their scholarships. Both are expected to transfer.

Robinson, a 5-foot-9, 216-pound redshirt sophomore from Mechanicsburg, Pa., saw his production drop after spending most of the season on the third team behind Saquon Barkley and sophomore Miles Sanders. He carried just nine times for 55 yards and one touchdown, compared to 29 carries, 141 yards and five TDs in 2016.

Barbir, a redshirt freshman from Cumming, Ga., who was the first recruited scholarship kicker in James Franklin's coaching tenure, kicked off six times this season as the backup to Tyler Davis but did not attempt a field goal or an extra point.
