Two members of Penn State's high-powered offense, running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Mike Gesicki, were named to the preseason Association Press all-America team announced Tuesday.

Barkley, a junior from Coplay, Pa., led the Big Ten last season in total touchdowns with 22 and in all-purpose yardage with 140.86 yards per game. He rushed for 1,496 yards, ranking him fifth on Penn State's all-time list, and his average of 106.9 yards was second in the conference.

Barkley, an all-Big Ten selection last season, was named offensive player of the year in the conference and Big Ten running back of the year.

Gesicki, a senior from Manahawkin, N.J., broke the program record last season for most receptions and receiving yardage by a tight end with 48 catches and 679 yards, and led the Big Ten in both departments. He had four or more catches in seven of his last 12 games, and caught five touchdown passes. He was named second-team all-Big Ten by the media.
