"It's a huge undertaking from start to finish and especially when you come in here, and there's a change," Addazio said. "You come right in at a certain point and it creates even more confusion, and it takes more hands on deck. The beautiful thing about being at Temple is that there's great teamwork. With great teamwork and people that have the same mission, you can pull together a heck of a class, and you can welcome a heck of class into Temple."
Seven players from Pennsylvania signed with Temple, and another six from New Jersey. The Owls signed four players from the Philadelphia area, including linebacker Brandon Chudnoff and wide receiver Daquan Cooper, both from George Washington; and running back Spencer Reid, from Harriton, the youngest son of the Eagles' coach.
Two of Temple's signees are already enrolled as mid-year students. Eleven of the 18 high school signees attended the Temple football camp (61 percent).
"I think the recruits here are going to help us in our effort," Addazio said. "What's our effort? We want to win the MAC East. We want to win the MAC outright. We don't just want to play in a bowl game. We want to win the bowl game. Play in a bowl game? Win the bowl game. That's what we want to get done here, and these players are going to help us. We want to be able to play a brand of football that Philadelphia and Temple are going to be proud of with players of character."
