Former Temple running back Tim Brown is looking to restart his playing career in the Canadian Football League.

Brown signed with the BC Lions and will hope to earn a spot when training begins June 5.

"His change of direction is phenomenal," Lions player personnel coordinator Neil McEvoy told the Vancouver Sun. "You'd have trouble catching him in a phone booth. He's the type of guy we need - a returner/running back."

Brown's last season at Temple was 2006, when he ran for 731 yards on 182 carries with two touchdowns and also caught 33 passes for 218 yards.

He spent the last three seasons in the Indoor Football League and comes off two championship runs with the Billings Outlaws. He posted 125 all-purpose yards in the Outlaws' championship game victory earlier this year. *
