The Owls posted a 23-10 record last season, advancing to the third round of the WNIT. They finished second in the Atlantic 10 regular season but lost to Dayton in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

In a schedule announced Tuesday, Temple will play four home games in November.

During their final season in the A-10, the Owls will play 14 of the 15 possible conference opponents, including new members Virginia Commonwealth (home) and Butler (away). Temple will move to the Big East Conference for the 2013-14 season.

Drexel's three-game winning streak in men's soccer ended Tuesday night with a 2-0 loss to host Virginia (4-2-1) in Charlottesville. The Dragons are 3-2-1.

The Lafayette field hockey team earned its first national ranking since 2002, taking over the 18th spot in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association weekly poll.

The only loss for the Leopards (5-1) was a 3-2 decision against Penn State. The Nittany Lions were ranked ninth at the time and have moved up to the sixth spot. On Friday, Lafayette upset Drexel, knocking the Dragons from No. 15 to No. 23.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's tennis weekly awards belonged to Chestnut Hill College. Senior Maria Parapouras was named CACC player of the week after posting a 4-0 record.

Axe Owens of Trenton was Chestnut Hill's third consecutive league rookie of the week thanks to a 3-0 match record against Georgian Court and Concordia.

Earning CACC honorable mention was Philadelphia U. junior Isabella Espinosa.

Wilmington University sophomore Althea Davidson of New Castle, Del., was the CACC women's cross-country runner of the week.
