Ten players with local connections will play in Saturday's annual East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla. While many of the players projected to go in the early rounds of April's NFL draft are participating in the Senior Bowl later this month, the Shrine Game has developed a reputation in recent years as a place where scouts can discover an overlooked prospect.

The local players on the East team are: R.J. Dill, offensive lineman, Rutgers; Montel Harris, running back, Temple; Gerald Hodges, linebacker, Penn State; D.C. Jefferson, tight end, Rutgers; Robert McCabe, linebacker, Georgetown (Malvern Prep); Nick Moody, linebacker, Florida State (Roman Catholic); Matt Stankiewitch, offensive lineman, Penn State; Scott Vallone, defensive lineman, Rutgers; and Earl Watford, offensive lineman, James Madison (Simon Gratz).
Rob Lohr, a defensive lineman from Vanderbilt who played at Phoenixville, is on the West team.
