Temple appoints new athletic director
Kevin G. Clark, who served as the interim AD since May, was given the job permanently.

KEVIN G. CLARK, who has been a senior adviser to Temple president Neil D. Theobald for the past year, was named vice president and director of athletics at the university, the school announced yesterday.
Clark had been interim AD since May 3. He succeeds the retired Bill Bradshaw.
Before arriving at Temple, Clark was senior associate athletic director at Indiana, where Theobald had been the chief financial officer. He served 11 years on Indiana's senior athletic staff.
He was also in athletic adminstration at Saint Louis University from 1996 to 2001, and worked at the NCAA before that.
"Kevin's positions at Saint Louis and Indiana universities give him extensive firsthand experience in both the financial and managerial challenges of sports at the highest levels," Theobald said in a university statement.
Clark called his appointment "an incredible opportunity." The Kansas City native has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Grambling State University and an MBA from Webster University. He is a retired major in the U.S. Army Reserve. He and his wife, Kendra, have four children.
