Temple football coach Geoff Collins has hired David Feeley as the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Feeley, entering his 12th year in college football, served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach this season at South Carolina.

Collins and Feeley were first together in 2010 as members of the Florida International coaching staff. Feeley was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at FIU from 2008-10. Collins was the defensive coordinator/linebackers coach in 2010.

A source said that Ryan Horton, who has been Elon's head strength and conditioning coach, will be hired as Temple's assistant strength and conditioning coach.

On Wednesday, Collins retained three assistants from Matt Rhule's staff - tight ends and special teams coach Ed Foley, wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson and running backs coach Chris Wiesehan. The exact duties of those three will be announced when the full staff is hired.

In addition, Coastal Carolina offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude will serve as Temple's offensive coordinator, although that likely won't be announced until next week.

Defensive line coach Elijah Robinson has an offer to join Rhule at his new job at Baylor. But Temple, according to a few sources, would like to keep him.
