What to watch: East Carolina is the ninth seed. Temple is eight. . . . Perry is guiding ECU while head coach Jeff Lebo recovers from hip surgery. . . . Neither team had a player on the AAC all-conference teams, but both had all-rookie selections. Temple had 6-foot-8 freshman Quinton Rose (10.0 ppg.), and ECU had 6-1 freshman Jeremy Sheppard, (9.3 ppg., 3.5 apg.). . . . Temple's 6-10 junior, Obi Enechionyia, is averaging 12.9 points per game but just 10.5 in AAC games. . . . Kentrell Barkley, a 6-5 sophomore, leads ECU in scoring (12.4 ppg.). . . . In the win over Temple, Barkley had 19 points and 13 rebunds. . . . Shizz Alston (14.0 ppg.) leads the AAC in free throw percentage (.868) and has made 28 consecutive free throws. . . .
