Owls land talented juco defensive tackle

Temple football received an early Christmas present today when it was reported that defensive tackle Greg Webb had reversed his commitment from Rutgers to Temple.

The story was reported by N.J. Advance Media.

Webb committed to Rutgers in Oct. However, according to the report, he took an official visit to Temple recently and changed his mind. The 6-1, 315-pounder is presently enrolled at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. This past season he helped the team win 11 games. Hutchinson finished the season ranked No. 6 in the country.

Webb is a former U.S. Army All-American. He is expected to enroll at Temple next summer.

Temple football has developed a strong connection with Timber Creek. Earlier in the year they received a verbal commitment from Timber Creek's Kareem Ali, Jr.  Temple running back Zaire Williams also attended Timber Creek
