The American Athletic Conference has released its men's basketball schedule and Temple will open conference play on Dec. 28 at home against Tulane.

Previously, Temple had announced its non-conference schedule, but now the dates of the entire 30 regular season games are known.

One of the marquee conference matchups involves AAC newcomer Wichita State. Temple will play the Shockers twice in a 15-day period, hosting them on Feb. 1 and traveling to Wichita State on Feb. 15. The Owls, coming off a 16-16 season but expected to be improved, open their season Nov. 16 against Old Dominion in the Charleston, South Carolina Classic.

There are 12 AAC teams. Temple will play 18 conference games, seven teams twice and four teams once. The teams the Owls play twice are Tulane, Houston, Cincinnati, Central Florida, Tulsa, Connecticut and Wichita State. The Owls will play SMU, Memphis, East Carolina and South Florida once.

The start time for many of the games has not been determined due mainly to television considerations.
