Villanova maintained its position as the No. 2-ranked team in the Football Championship Subdivision coaches poll. Villanova (3-0) received 627 points and trails top-ranked Richmond, which received 25 first-place votes and had 673 points. The Wildcats host Northeastern on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Owl honored
Temple placekicker Brandon McManus earned Mid-American Conference special teams Player of the Week honors for the East Division. McManus, a freshman, kicked two field goals (25 and 35 yards) in the Owls' 31-6 loss at Penn State on Saturday.
Penn on the air
Penn's game at Dartmouth on Oct. 3 will be televised nationally by Versus and has been moved to a noon start. The game is the Ivy League opener for both teams.
