Villanova women defeat Binghamton

Maria Getty scored 18 points as Villanova's women topped Binghamton, 53-43, last night at the Pavilion. Getty had 11 points in the first half, nine coming on three three-pointers, as the Wildcats (6-2) built a 24-14 lead. Villanova had 11 threes for the game, as it attempted 39 treys to only 13 two-point shots.

Tia Grant had 11 points (three threes) and Laura Sweeney had 10 (two treys).

Binghamton (2-6), which attempted only four three-pointers, was led by Orla O'Reilly, who had a game-high 21 points. Theodora Panteli added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
