BOONE N.C. - Quarterback DeAndre Presley rushed for 264 yards and two touchdowns to lead Appalachian State to a 42-14 victory against Western Illinois on Saturday in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The top-seeded Mountaineers will host Villanova in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Appalachian State (10-2) used a pair of first-half interceptions and 417 rushing yards against the pass-oriented Leathernecks (9-5).

Presley scored on an 89-yard keeper - the longest in school playoff history - to put Appalachian State ahead 21-7.
