CHENEY, Wash. - Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones has a fractured bone in his foot and is not expected to play Friday night against Villanova in the Football Championship Subdivision semifinals.
Jones, who averages 145 yards per game, fractured his left foot on Saturday in an overtime victory over North Dakota State. He still finished with a career-high 230 yards.
Jones has rushed for 1,742 yards and scored 17 touchdowns this season.
Mario Brown or Darriell Beaumonte will start in his place against Villanova. The game at Eastern Washington, which begins at 8 p.m., will be televised by ESPN2.
