Purdue quarterback Joey Elliott, a 6-foot-2, 216-pounder, signed a deal with the Eagles moments after the draft concluded Saturday afternoon, according to the Courier-Press in Evansville, Ill.
So, too, did Boilermakers cornerback David Pender, according to the report.
The Eagles drafted another Big Ten quarterback Saturday, selecting Northwestern's Mike Kafka in the fourth round.
The following undrafted rookies also signed free-agent deals with the Eagles, according to newspaper and Web site reports:
Tennessee-Chattanooga wide receiver Blue Cooper (Chattanoogan); Colgate receiver Pat Simonds (Oneonta, N.Y., Daily Star), LSU defensive tackle Charles Alexander (New Orleans Times-Picayune), West Texas A&M running back Keithon Flemming (Amarillo Globe-News), San Jose State wide receiver Kevin Jurovich (San Jose Mercury-News), and Massachusetts fullback Chris Zardas (Boston Globe).
After the draft, the Eagles had 71 players on their roster. They have until the start of minicamp Friday to reach the maximum of 80.
