Eagles Notes: Season likely over for Bradley following elbow dislocation

ARLINGTON, Texas - Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley dislocated his right elbow in the second quarter against the Cowboys Sunday night and is likely done for the season, coach Andy Reid said.

ARLINGTON, Texas - Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley dislocated his right elbow in the second quarter against the Cowboys Sunday night and is likely done for the season, coach Andy Reid said.

Bradley was injured after he jumped over a Cowboy and fell awkwardly on his arm. Rookie Jamar Chaney, who has played mostly on special teams, replaced Bradley at middle linebacker.

Omar Gaither is listed as Bradley's backup on the team's depth chart, but he was inactive for the first time since Week 3.

Bradley missed all of last season after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during training camp.

Also, rookie defensive end Brandon Graham injured his knee in the fourth quarter and was limping around on crutches on the locker room after the victory.

Start of something

Unlike last season, when they got off to slow starts on two losing trips to Cowboys Stadium, the Eagles opened with a touchdown-scoring drive Sunday night.

The offense has been efficient on opening drives this season. The Eagles lead the NFL with 49 points scored on their first possession.

The six-play, 73-yard scoring drive that the Eagles opened with at Dallas started with a bang when Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson hooked up for a 60-yard pass play. With that one play, Jackson came within 20 yards of his output in three games against the Cowboys last season.

The receiver was held to a total of seven catches for 79 yards last season.

Four plays later, the Eagles converted a fourth and 1 on the Dallas 4 when running back LeSean McCoy plunged ahead 3 yards. A play later, Vick took the snap and ran into the end zone for a 1-yard touchdown.

It was Vick's seventh rushing touchdown on the year and the most ever by an Eagles quarterback in one season.

The score also meant that the Eagles' offense had converted on five of its last seven trips inside the red zone. Previously, it was only 2 of 10 during a two-game stretch.

Extra points

With Asante Samuel out for the third straight game because of a knee sprain, Joselio Hanson started in his place at left cornerback. . . . Rookie tackle Austin Howard did not dress, but guard Reggie Wells did for the first time since Week 7. . . . Max Jean-Gilles made his second straight start at right guard ahead of Nick Cole, who did dress. . . . The Eagles dressed five wide receivers - DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, Riley Cooper and Chad Hall - for the first time all season. . . . The Eagles' list of inactive players also included cornerback Brandon Hughes, tight end Garrett Mills, and defensive end Daniel Te'o-Nesheim. Mike Kafka was the emergency third quarterback.
