QB shuffle: Skins, Vikes play along
Two teams - needless to say Minnesota and Washington - are considering a quarterback change. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he will discuss the situation with his staff and decide by Wednesday who starts against Green Bay, visibly deteriorating Donovan McNabb, or rookie Christian Ponder.

Frazier said he doesn't want to flip-flop from week to week, so if Ponder gets the hot seat, it probably will be his for good.
The Bears sacked McNabb four times on his last six snaps of the third quarter of a 39-10 romp.
Meanwhile, in our nation's capital, where the identity of the Redskins' QB used to overshadow things like the Iran-Contra hearings, Mike Shanahan said he hasn't made up his mind between Rex Grossman, who tossed four interceptions against the Eagles on Sunday, or backup John Beck.
Kyle Boller is talking over in Oakland but it's because starter Jason Campbell will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone and miss six weeks.
With untested rookie Terrelle Pryor the only QB on the Oakland roster, the Raiders contacted former Jacksonville starter David Garrard. But Garrard needs back surgery and won't be available for at least four weeks.
Darn!
Fan darling Jon Gruden agreed to a new contract with ESPN that keeps him in TV - and out of coaching - for the next five years, thus disappointing legions of Eagles fans, Dolphins fans and even some Penn State diehards.
Play nice, boys
Detroit's Jim Schwartz said he spoke with the league about his postgame jawing match with San Francisco's Jim Harbaugh, and that it's "unfortunate" the dustup between the coaches overshadowed an exciting game.
Schwartz says he had a chance to speak with Harbaugh after the game Sunday afternoon when "everything had died down a little bit" and he expects the two will talk again at some point.
The NFL said it would not fine either adolescent, er, coach.
Lloyd traded to Rams
Tim Tebow has lost his top target even before he makes his first start of the season.
The Denver Broncos traded Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Lloyd, the league's leading receiver last year, to the St. Louis Rams on Monday for a conditional 2012 draft pick.
The move comes a week after Tebow supplanted Kyle Orton at quarterback.
Lloyd will reunite with former Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, now the Rams' offensive coordinator, and provide Sam Bradford with a much-needed downfield threat.
Memo to Andy Reid
Chicago Bears strong safety Chris Harris is requesting a trade after being benched against Minnesota and his agent, Albert Elias, said the Bears have granted him permission to seek a deal.
Injury report
Sean Payton had surgery to repair a torn meniscus and fractured bone in his left leg, suffered in a sideline crash on Sunday. The Saints head coach is expected to remain in the hospital until Tuesday.
Redskins left guard Kory Lichtensteiger suffered torn ligaments in his right knee on Sunday and will be lost for the rest of the season.
