Cowboys offer swimsuit issue

WE STILL bleed Eagles green, but … We have to admit that the latest issue of the Dallas Cowboys Star magazine could make us at least consider rooting for America's Team.

WE STILL bleed Eagles green, but …

We have to admit that the latest issue of the Dallas Cowboys Star magazine could make us at least consider rooting for America's Team.

That's because it's the swimsuit issue and features over 80 pages of photos of bikini-clad Cowboys cheerleaders, including Brittney Schram, who is pictured here.

The photos are presented in three sections: Caribbean Queens, Celestial Bodies and Twilight Treasures.

We're told there were also some articles in the magazine.

Fight's not over

On Saturday, Timothy Bradley won a controversial split decision over Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

In the pre-digital age, there would have been an initial public outcry and then … nothing.

But now?

Since Saturday, dozens of online petitions have sprung up on Change.org.

There are petitions seeking a rematch, and petitions demanding the judges be suspended. One petition even asks the governor of Nevada to overturn the decision.

Many who "signed" also commented on the fight.

Alex Glimaldi wrote: "Enough is enough!!!!! This is killing boxing! My little son who knows absolutely nothing about boxing knew Manny won the fight."

And Miguel Gonzalez wrote: "If the decision is not overturned and those judges investigated, I will not invest another dime on the sport of boxing."

Dick Allen update

Dick Allen spent the first 7 years of his major league career in a Phillies uniform. Won Rookie of the Year here. Monday, he was in Chicago, where 40 years ago, he was a veteran first baseman with the White Sox. Allen was visiting the Chicago Baseball Museum, which is exhibiting a tribute to the 1972 squad.

"I really wish I could have started my career and ended it here," Allen told the Associated Press. "This is the most terrific sports town in America."

Allen once hit two inside-the-park home in the same game during the 1972 season. The team won 87 games and he won the AL Most Valuable Player Award.
