Vick's brother: Trade Mike
THE EAGLES' offensive-line struggles have been well documented this season. During the Eagles-Saints game on Monday night, tweets purportedly from Marcus Vick spoke out about the unit that protects his older brother Michael.
THE EAGLES' offensive-line struggles have been well documented this season. During the Eagles-Saints game on Monday night, tweets purportedly from Marcus Vick spoke out about the unit that protects his older brother Michael.
The tweets came from an unverified Twitter account (@MVFive), which has personal pictures of Marcus and Michael. The Daily News could not confirm the tweets came from Marcus Vick. The tweeter on that account could barely control their anger watching Michael Vick take a beating in the first quarter.
"This is not even an NFL type of O-line," said the tweet from @MVFive. "[Bleeping bleepitty] line!!! I never seen [sic] a QB get pressured so fast. What happen to the hogs the Eagles had last year and year before? Call Winston Justice back and Jamaal [Jackson].
"Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please..."
Marcus Vick, 28, has been out of football since 2007. He did not complete his career at Virginia Tech after being kicked off the team. He also went undrafted in the NFL.
At one point, the @MVFive account said it was "changing the channel" on Monday night, but the tune changed once the Eagles started having some success running the ball.
"Finally. A long run. Damn!!! That's the best hole the line opened all year."
Marcus Vick remains close with his brother and helps run his apparel line, V7 LLC. At the very least, the tweets give insight into the frustration his brother may be feeling but perhaps can't publicly vent.
