Michael Vick-Marty Mornhinweg reunion is unlikely with Jets
Don't look for Michael Vick to speed up the Jersey Turnpike to MetLife Stadium now that Marty Mornhinweg is offensive coordinator for the Jets.

Don't look for Michael Vick to speed up the Jersey Turnpike to MetLife Stadium now that Marty Mornhinweg is offensive coordinator for the Jets.
According to ESPN.com, the two were not on the best of terms last season when Mornhinweg called plays for the Eagles, and that relationship - along with Vick's price tag - makes a reunion unlikely.
When Mornhinweg was hired by the Jets last week, the immediate thought was that he might be looking to bring Vick with him.
The Eagles have only two weeks to decide about keeping Vick. They have to either vest a $3 million portion of his 2013 contract by Feb. 6 or cut him loose. The $3 million could be used to put Vick on layaway and delay the final decision on keeping him for his entire $15.5 million salary, but that's a pretty expensive, nonrefundable deposit.
Big payday for Ryan?
Fox Sports reported that quarterback Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons have begun talks about a contract extension that will take on the look of a "mega-contract."
The 2013 season will be the final year of Ryan's six-year deal worth $66 million. Ryan is scheduled to be paid $10 million next season, but, according to the report, the Falcons may want to discard the final year of that deal and reward the ex-Penn Charter star with a new contract.
Ryan, 27, finished with a 93.8 passer rating this year, the fifth-best mark in the NFL. He completed 68.6 percent of his passes, throwing for 4,719 yards with 32 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Bradley adds assistants
New Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley turned to former colleagues for his first two hires. Bradley hired Miami Hurricanes offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch to the same position, charging him with remodeling one of the league's worst offenses. And Bradley hired longtime Chicago Bears assistant Bob Babich as defensive coordinator. The 37-year-old Fisch could be Bradley's most important addition.
The Jaguars ranked 29th in the league in total offense this season, slightly better than their last-place finish in 2011.
