Woman sues LeSean McCoy after alleged incident on bus

LeSean McCoy is being sued by a woman who claims the Eagles running back sprayed her with a beverage on a party bus and then kicked her off the vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike in December, according to court documents. She also claims she was struck during the episode, but no charges have been filed.

The lawsuit was filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas on May 10 by a woman using the name "Mary Roe." According to the lawsuit, McCoy "invited 15 women to join him on a party bus that went from Philadelphia to a New York nightclub on Dec. 18, 2012."

The woman is also seeking $50,000 from the bus company, Luxury Rentals Inc.

McCoy's attorney, Andrew Smith, issued a statement on his behalf.

"The allegations against LeSean McCoy are completely, unequivocally false," the statement said. "There are no criminal charges pending and no probable cause was ever found. This is sadly an attempt to extract money, and LeSean will vigorously defend any attempt to collect money through a personal-injury claim."

McCoy was spotted leaving the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday. Before he hopped into the passenger seat of a black Porsche he was asked to comment, but he declined and said, "I got to go."

The Eagles are aware of the allegations but did not comment.

A source close to McCoy said that he did not dispute removing the woman from the bus after she asked to leave, but the source said that the other allegations were false.

McCoy, 24, missed four games late last season because of a concussion. He did not play against the Bengals on Dec. 13 but was back in uniform Dec. 23. Eagles players were typically given off Tuesdays, the day when the incident is said to have taken place.

The lawsuit claims that McCoy and other men, including his bodyguard, "Big John," began to spray some women with water during the trip. The plaintiff protested, according to the lawsuit, and McCoy told "Big John" to get her.

The suit claims that either McCoy or the bodyguard hit the woman in the face, knocking her to the floor, and that she was forcibly ejected from the bus at the side of the road. The woman filed a police report in New Jersey and took two trains to return to Philadelphia.

In an unrelated incident in January, McCoy apologized after he got into an argument on Twitter with a woman who said she was the mother of his son.

McCoy, a Harrisburg native, was selected by the Eagles out of Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2009 draft. He was named an all-pro running back in 2011.
