Fantasy time: Spotlight on Jamaal Charles
A quick look at the Chiefs running back to whet your appetite for fantasy football season.

FANTASY TIME
The Daily News fantasy football section will be published tomorrow. To get the juices flowing a little early, we're spotlighting a key player each day this week leading up.
Jamaal Charles, RB, Chiefs
Age: 26. Height, weight: 5-11, 199.
Proj. draft position: 4-8 overall
2012 recap: Ran for a career-high 1,509 yards and also chipped in 35 receptions for a miserable Chiefs team. Charles ran for 226 yards in Week 16, which made him a fantasy hero in some circles, but only 10 yards and 53 yards in Weeks 15 and 17, respectively, which made him a goat.
2013 outlook: Andy Reid had success riding Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy, so Reid's arrival in Kansas City should be good for Charles. Also, Alex Smith is a ground-and-pound sort of quarterback. If Charles stays healthy, he should get to double-digit TDs.
