Eagles-Giants: Les Bowen's pick

Picking against the Eagles has become almost reflexive at this point. The Giants are in the playoffs if they win, so it would be silly to envision them coming out flat or overconfident. Thursday nights are tricky, with the home team 9-5 so far this season, but how much of a road trip is it, driving down from East Rutherford, N.J.?

I have no idea how Lane Johnson will fare after a 10-game absence. The steady improvement of the Giants' defense since the first meeting has been impressive. Hard to believe both teams were 4-3 heading into that one. The Giants have lost once since, the Eagles have won once since, the very next week vs. Atlanta.

The Eagles very much do not want to go into 2017 as the established divisional doormats. I'm not sure they can do much about it, though.

Prediction Giants 20, Eagles 16
