The Eagles have signed defensive end Everette Brown and cornerback Trevard Lindley to two-year contracts, the team announced.

The 6-foot-1, 256-pound Brown was drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2009 draft. He played in 15 games as a rookie and recorded 2-1/2 sacks. He followed up with a 3-1/2-sack season in 13 games in 2010. He played in only one game in 2011 with the Chargers, however, and was not with an NFL team this season.

Lindley is back with the Eagles for his third stint. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 draft and played in 11 games, starting in one, as a rookie. Lindley made the 53-man roster on final cut down day in Aug. 2011, but was cut days later. The same thing happened a year later.

Lindley (6-0, 183 pounds) recently worked out for the Eagles, as did Brown.
