Jason Garrett's job depends on Cowboys playoff berth

As always, it's a tangled mess of playoff berths to end the NFL season. Some teams need to win out, others are relying on their rivals to lose, and other, longer shots, need both to happen.

Nowhere have two teams been more reliant on each other's failure than the NFC East. With Washington and New York cooked early on, the Eagles and Cowboys are both in contention because somebody in the division has to be.

Jerry Jones isn't screwing around, reportedly, and is prepared to fire down punishment from JerryWorld onto his coaching staff, should the unthinkable happen.

Source says current expectation is Jerry Jones will fire HC Jason Garrett and coaching staff unless the Cowboys win NFC East, make playoffs.

It seems Jason Garrett's fate relies heavily on the outcomes of next week's critical Cowboys-Eagles matchup. Naturally, Garrett may be a little testy.
