Top wide receiver prospects in the 2012 NFL Draft

Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon is not as explosive as teams might like, but who cares? He's a ball-catcher and pulls in nearly everything tossed in his direction. Blackmon will definitely go in the top 10.

Top Wide Receiver Prospects

JUSTIN BLACKMON, OKLA. STATE

He's not as explosive as teams might like, but who cares? He's a ball-catcher and pulls in nearly everything tossed in his direction. Blackmon will definitely go in the top 10.

KENDALL WRIGHT, BAYLOR

A 4.6-second 40-yard dash at the combine didn't seem to match his game film. But he has an assortment of moves off the line, has great in-air body control, and makes up for his lack of size (5-10, 196) with impressive athleticism.

MICHAEL FLOYD, NOTRE DAME

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound receiver has it all - size, speed, and physicality. A DUI conviction last year may have initially scared some teams away, but he could also go early in the first round.

STEPHEN HILL, GA TECH

Hill will go fairly early in the draft because he has size scouts drool over (6-4, 215), and he's a legit home-run threat every time he lines up. But he's viewed as a one-trick pony in some circles, at least one that hasn't had the chance to expand his game.

ALSHON JEFFERY, S CAROLINA

He showed up at the combine in February about 15 pounds under his college playing weight of 230. He skipped all the drills in Indianapolis but put on quite a show at his pro day, tempering some fears over whether he could get separation in the NFL.

RUEBEN RANDLE, LSU

Randle didn't play much in his first two seasons but had an impressive junior season, even though Jordan Jefferson was his quarterback at LSU. Still, scouts don't seem to have a great read on the 6-4, 210-pound receiver just yet.

BRIAN QUICK, APP. STATE

Another big-bodied receiver (6-3, 220), Quick has been climbing up draft boards. He's viewed as a bit of long-term project since he's still relatively new to football.

A.J. JENKINS, ILLINOIS

He's a second- or fifth-round talent depending upon who is doing the evaluating. Fans see quickness and fluidity. Critics note his size (6-0, 192) and inconsistency.

T.Y. HILTON, FLA INTERNATIONAL

He may be the fastest receiver in the draft, but there are concerns about his durability. His value could be buoyed by his skills as a return specialist.
