RUSH OFFENSE: Not including Carson Wentz's four scrambles, the Eagles ran the ball just 13 times. Darren Sproles was effective when he ran it, picking up 48 yards on 10 carries. But he had just three carries in the second half. LeGarrette Blount, who had a team-high 14 carries last week, had zero Sunday.

GRADE: D

PASS OFFENSE: His six sacks might suggest that Carson Wentz spent the afternoon running for his life. But the truth is he often had plenty of time, yet completed just 54 percent of his attempts against the Chiefs. He had at least three passes deflected, including a killer interception in the fourth quarter when the game was tied.

GRADE: C-

RUN DEFENSE: The Eagles' run defense looked a lot like the 2016 version Sunday, doing a good job most of the game but then giving up a big play. Sunday it was a 53-yard touchdown run by rookie Kareem Hunt through the right side of the Eagles' defensive line late in the third quarter.

GRADE: C

PASS DEFENSE: Already missing their best cornerback, Ronald Darby, the Eagles lost safety Rodney McLeod and Darby's replacement, Jaylen Watkins, to hamstring injuries early. They sacked Alex Smith four times, but he still completed 21 of 28 passes.

GRADE: B

SPECIAL TEAMS: Darren Sproles, who almost never fumbles, had one on a second-quarter punt return that the Chiefs turned into a 39-yard Cairo Santos field goal. The Eagles' new kicker, Jake Elliott, missed a 30-yard FG attempt.

GRADE: C

OVERALL: Yeah, it was a tough road game that everyone had put an "L'' next to before the season. With the exception of the long TD run they gave up to Kareem Hunt, the defense played pretty well. But the offense has a number of issues, including a non-existent run game and a continued propensity for third-and-longs.
