NFL Week 5 preview: Tough test for Eagles, plus stats, facts, and a great Jalen Ramsey quote
Drew Brees on the verge of a record, Larry Fitzgerald's adorable optimism

A look at the Week 5 schedule. Games are Sunday, unless noted.
Minnesota (1-2-1) at Eagles (2-2), 4:25 p.m. (Fox29)
In four games at Lincoln Financial Field with the Redskins, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is 2-2 with 12 touchdown passes and just two picks. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are the best receiving duo the Eagles will face this season, which is a bit worrisome given what DeSean Jackson and Mike Evans did two weeks ago and what Corey Davis did last week. Line: Eagles by 3.

Washington (2-1) at New Orleans (3-1), 8:15 p.m. Monday (ESPN)
Drew Brees needs 201 yards to overtake Peyton Manning for the all-time passing yardage mark, a record that used to mean something before the NFL starting declawing defenses. The Saints, third in the NFL at 34.2 points per game, get running back Mark Ingram back from a four-game suspension. Through three games, Washington has allowed just 14.7 points per game. Line: Saints by 6.5.

Jacksonville (3-1) at Kansas City (4-0), 1 p.m. (CBS3)
Can't wait to see star cornerback Jalen Ramsey go up against star receiver Tyreek Hill? Ramsey says hold on a second.
"He's good for what he does for their team," the Jags corner said. "He made All-Pro as a return specialist. Let's get that right — as a return specialist — his rookie year. He went to two Pro Bowls as a return specialist — return specialist — two years. I made All-Pro in my position as a corner, went to the Pro Bowl as a corner. So it's not a wide receiver vs. corner matchup, so we can get that out of the way off the bat." All righty, then. Line: Chiefs by 3.
Postgame headline: Chiefs head to New England still undefeated; Who gave them this schedule, Al Davis?
Miami (3-1) at Cincinnati (3-1), 1 p.m.
Andy Dalton has 11 TD passes but six picks. Miami's defense came into the week leading the league with nine picks, though the players still have tire marks on their uniforms after what Tom Brady did to them last week. "It's a new team," Cincy cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick said, "a new energy around here." Line: Bengals by 6.5.
Postgame headline: Bengals all alone atop AFC North; yawn, wake us in mid-January
Atlanta (1-3) at Pittsburgh (1-2-1), 1 p.m.
The Falcons will be without four defensive starters now that tackle Grady Jarrett (ankle) has been ruled out. Atlanta has given up 80 points the last two weeks (43 to New Orleans, 37 to Cincy). The loser of this game will be in deep trouble. Line: Steelers by 3.

L.A. Rams (4-0) at Seattle (2-2), 4:25 p.m.
Jared Goff is coming off the finest game of his young career (465 yards, five TDs against the Vikings). The Rams beat the Seahawks, 42-7, in Seattle last season when Aaron Donald had three of L.A.'s seven sacks. Line: Rams by 7.
Postgame headline: Russell Wilson runs into Puget Sound to avoid Rams pass rush
Green Bay (2-1-1) at Detroit (1-3), 1 p.m.
Detroit beat the Packers twice last season – when Aaron Rodgers was hurt. The Packers are so thin at wide receiver that they are playing rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown. St. Brown is one catch away from setting the NFL record for receptions by a guy named Equanimeous. Lions running back LeGarrertte Blount has had fewer than 10 carries in three of the first four games. He's sharing time with Kerryon Johnson, though Johnson looks poised to take over as the No. 1.. Line: Packers by 1.5.

Baltimore (3-1) at Cleveland (1-2-1), 1 p.m.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh voiced his frustration with Alex Collins after Sunday's win over Pittsburgh, chiding the running back for losing a fumble on the goal line. Buck Allen could be in line for more touches with Collins in Harbaugh's doghouse. Don't buy Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale's comparing Cleveland rookie Baker Mayfield to Brett Favre and Dan Marino. That was a message to his own defense. Line: Ravens by 3.
Postgame headline: Refs let Browns play with 13 guys, figure they owed 'em after Oakland last week
Tennessee (3-1) at Buffalo (1-3), 1 p.m.
Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen has been sacked a league-high 18 times, including seven times last week, when they were shutout for the first time since 2008. "In order for the young man to play, he needs to be healthy, and in order for him to be healthy, you can't stand back there and take hits," head coach Sean McDermott said. Line: Titans by 3.5.
Postgame headline: Bills fans wonder when LeSean McCoy is going to start making headlines on Sundays
N.Y. Giants (1-3) at Carolina (2-1), 1 p.m. (Fox29)
Safety Eric Reid, who protested alongside Colin Kaepernick in San Francisco, is expected to make his Panthers debut. "It's not like he's out there and Coach calls 'Cover 3' and he's going to take a knee and let a guy run by him," Carolina receiver Torrey Smith said, chuckling. "If that was the issue, it would be a problem. But that's not the way it works. Eric knows what is best for Eric and we all know what he is fighting for." Line: Panthers by 7.
Postgame headline: Panthers roll, Saquon wants to go back to Happy Valley
Oakland (1-3) at L.A. Chargers (2-2), 4:05 p.m.
Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, 32, is fourth in the league on rushing and running as violently as he ever has. Line: Chargers by 5.5
Postgame headline: Chargers rookie safety Derwin James is so good he tackled Lynch in the open field
Denver (2-2) at N.Y. Jets (1-3), 1 p.m.
The Broncos are licking their wounds after nearly upsetting the Chiefs and have an early start after a short week. They're also 0-3-1 against the spread. Line: Jets by 1.
Postgame headline: Sam Darnold also beats Broncos with a lefthanded pass, says this league ain't so hard
Dallas (2-2) at Houston (1-3), 8:20 p.m. (NBC10)
Houston's defensive linemen get plenty of ink, but Dallas's DeMarcus Lawrence is leading the league in sacks. Line: Texans by 3.5.
Postgame headline: Cowboys win Battle of Texas, which is just as contrived as the Battle of Pennsylvania when the Eagles and Steelers play
Arizona (0-4) at San Francisco (1-3), 4:25 p.m.
Gotta love the optimism of Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who is 0-4 for the first time in his 15-year career. "This doesn't feel nearly as bad as starting 4-0 and dropping eight in a row," he said, referring to the Cards' 2012 disaster. Line: 49ers by 4.
