YO, HARRY, HOPE YOU STAY A SPELL

VANNA WHITE and Paul Holmgren may love Harry Zolnierczyk, but sports writers do not. For headline writers, he's a nightmare.

Kidding, of course. Zollnerwitz is a good-looking young prospect who hopefully has a long career ahead of him, even if his name has everybody checking and rechecking the Flyers roster.

By now, most of us can spell Krzyzewski as if it were K-A-T. Whoops, C-A-T. Cardinals reliever Mark Rzepczynski is rightfully nicknamed "Eye Chart." Other than the silent "R," his last name is pronounced just the way it's spelled. Ilya Bryzgalov, by now, is a layup.

Zolnerchek has one of the longest last names in team history. Flyers media relations assistant Brian Smith (now there's a name we love) points out that only John Vanbiesbrouck's is longer. Once Zolnierczyk plays a little while, it will roll off the keyboard like some of the other legends to play in this town.

The Phillies gave us Billy Grabarkewitz (a personal favorite). Pete Emelianchik, Art Macioszczyk and Alex Wojciechowicz all toiled for the Eagles. And the only one who could spell former Sixer Efthimios Rentzias without looking was Phil Jasner.

So let's hope Zolnierczyk is here for a while. Or at least longer than Branko Radivojevic.

Is he high?

Showing there is more to life than money, Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in January.

Dickey, 37, is making the climb for a charity that fights against human trafficking in India. He read Ernest Hemingway's "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" as a kid and has wanted to tackle the mountain ever since.

The Mets aren't thrilled with one of their pitchers climbing 20,000 feet. Dickey, due to make $4.2 million in 2012, understands.

"Yeah, I'm a grown man, and I can do what I want to do," he told New York magazine. "But at the same time, let's say I slip, fall, break my leg, and can't pitch for 2 months. Legally, they have the authority to void my contract. They're not saying that they would exercise that right, but they wanted me to be informed."
