Winter Classic alumni game pushed back

Saturday's alumni game between the Flyers and New York Rangers has been moved to 3 p.m.

The game was originally slated to start at 1 p.m.

Gates to Citizens Bank Park will now open at 1 p.m. Sports complex parking lots will open at 9 a.m. The New Year's Eve fireworks show scheduled for 5 p.m. has been canceled.

The media skate and game on Friday at Citizens Bank Park were moved back a few hours because the sun and warm temperatures were causing havoc with the ice.

It is supposed to be colder on Monday, so the Winter Classic is expected to start on time. For now.
