Flyers to play Devils on Sunday

The Flyers will open the Eastern Conference semifinals on Sunday afternoon against the New Jersey Devils at the Wells Fargo Center. NBC Sports said the game will be at 3 p.m. Sunday on Channel 10.

The fifth-seeded Flyers have home-ice advantage over the Devils, the sixth seed. New Jersey advanced with a 3-2 double-overtime win in Game 7 at Florida on Thursday night.

The Flyers were 3-3 against the Devils during the regular season. Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov made three starts against the Devils. He had two shutouts and allowed only one goal in the other start. He had a 0.29 goals-against average and .987 save percentage against New Jersey.

Devils goalie Martin Brodeur made four starts against the Flyers. He was 1-3, with a 2.26 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.

The last time the teams met in the playoffs was 2010, when the Flyers took the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, 4-1.
