Siegfried uses birdie binge to capture Pa. amateur title
Philadelphia Country Club's Cory Siegfried birdied four holes in a five-hole stretch on the front nine en route to a 72 and victory Wednesday in the Pennsylvania Golf Association's 97th state amateur golf championship at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington.

Siegfried finished the 54-hole event with an 8-under-par score of 208 and a 3-stroke victory over Wildwood Golf Club's Grant Martens.
Overbrook's Michael Kania placed fourth at 213 as one of just five players to break par in the three-day competition.
