HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Carl Pettersson had another fast start and finished with a 2-under-par 69 for a 5-shot victory over Zach Johnson on Sunday in the RBC Heritage.

Luke Donald, who needed to finish among the top eight at Harbour Town Golf Links to keep the top spot, instead was 16 shots off the lead at even-par 71. When the new world rankings are released Monday, he will surrender No. 1 to Rory McIlroy, who took the week off after the Masters and went to Copenhagen to visit girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki, according to the tennis star's tweets.

McIlroy is not expected to play again until the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, N.C., in three weeks.

Pettersson, who had a run of five straight birdies on the front nine on Saturday to move in front, on Sunday birdied three of the first five holes and built a 5-shot lead by the turn. He finished at 14 under.
