Camden Catholic's Angelo Signs With Caldwell

Nicole Angelo, an Inquirer third-team all-South Jersey point guard from Camden Catholic, has accepted a full scholarship to Division II Caldwell College. The 5-foot-5 senior, who averaged 13.9 points this past season, signed her letter of intent with the New Jersey school on April 18.

During her career as a four-year varsity performer, Angelo scored 1,212 points and added 412 assists while competitng for one of South Jersey's signature programs.

Angelo said she chose Caldwell over St. Peter's and Campbell College of North Carolina. She made her decision the day before signing her letter of intent.

"It's a beautiful school, the coach (Linda Cimino) is amazing and they have a strong communications program," Angelo said.

Caldwell has competitive program that this season advanced to the semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament before losing 61-53 to Holy Family. The Cougars finished with a 17-11 record.
