Eastern is 4-0 against teams from South Jersey. Its 3-4 mark occurred at an out-of-state tournament last week.
Hicks silenced the heavy-hitting Kingsway lineup, giving up just three hits and striking out three.
Katie Cohen went 2 for 2 and scored the decisive run in the third inning. Rachel Campbell had two hits, including a RBI single in the first inning.
Kingsway saw its five-game winning streak snapped.
Colonial. Winning pitcher Rachel Manning helped her own cause with four RBIs as Haddon Township's bats remained white-hot during a 12-1 victory at Woodbury. Brianne Moore went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and Amanda Sabatini chipped in three hits and three RBIs for the Hawks, who have posted 47 runs during their five-game winning streak.
Julie Planchard collected three of West Deptford's 18 hits as the Eagles soared to their fifth win in six games - a 15-2 home rout of Lindenwold.
Lauren Beckas and Heather Morgan combined for a three-hit shutout as Audubon cooled off visiting Haddon Heights, 12-0. Tori Gardner paced the Green Wave attack with a home run.
Burlington County. Stacey Robertshaw twirled a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts as visiting Rancocas Valley blanked Cinnaminson, 6-0. Kim Wolfe highlighted the Red Devils' offense with an unusual two-run sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
Olympic. Rachel Knable clubbed a pair of home runs to power Cherry Hill West to its first-ever win over Cherokee - a 4-3 home decision. Kristen Rienstra scattered seven hits and struck out 11 en route to the victory. Her batterymate, Krista White, went 3 for 3 and drove in the decisive run in the sixth inning for the Lions.
Danielle Meng and Sam Torres combined for six hits, four runs scored and five RBIs to lift Pennsauken to its first win with an 18-0 victory against visiting Woodrow Wilson. Allison Schott recorded nine outs - all by strikeout - to pick up the victory.
Tri-County. Cumberland pushed across four runs in the top of the 10th inning and held on for a 6-3 win at Clearview. Lauren Chambers logged a complete-game victory with eight strikeouts for the Colts.
Rachel Coleman finished the game with four hitless innings en route to a one-hit shutout as Pennsville pinned a 12-0 loss on visiting Overbrook. Ashley Minche had two hits and two RBIs for the Eagles.
Amanda Girtain doubled home the winning run in the sixth inning as Deptford utilized four unanswered runs to beat visiting Delsea, 4-3.
Cape-Atlantic. Nicole Pagano fired a 14-strikeout no-hitter as St. Joseph defeated visiting Sacred Heart, 9-0. In three games, Wildcats pitchers have tossed 17 hitless innings. Pagano has logged 12 of those innings, striking out an eye-popping 31 batters. Gina DeAnnuntis had three hits and three RBIs for the Wildcats.
Maria Isgro drove in a career-high six runs, including a grand slam, as Absegami extended its unbeaten streak to four with a 13-3 home win over Atlantic City.
Lisa Sansalone went 4 for 5 with three RBIs and Gina Cifaloglio launched a two-run homer to highlight Buena's 18-2 victory at Our Lady of Mercy. Amanda McCloskey chipped in three hits and two runs for the Chiefs.
Samantha Capriotti hit a three-run homer and Ashley Landi added a two-run shot as Vineland earned a 12-1 win at Mainland. Capriotti had five RBIs for the Fighting Clan.
